Birdfeeding Tips: Tube birdfeeders are the most popular and economical. They are frequented by many birds depending on the type of seed you choose. Finches require a Nyjer or thistle tube birdfeeder specifically made with sloted openings. Check your birdfeeder often to ensure your birds have a fresh supply of seed. If the seed is old and dry, the finches won't feed. Traditional tube feeders will hold sunflower or a seed mix and will attract a variety of larger birds.
